It was all smiles from the team at The News Business Excellence Awards ceremony!

20 February 2023

On Friday 10th February, four of our Creative Clique team members enjoyed a brilliant evening, full of glitz and glamour, at the annual The News Business Excellence Awards, held at Portsmouth Guildhall.

We were invited to these prestigious awards, attended by 30+ businesses and organisations operating in the Portsmouth area, as we’d been chosen as a finalist, alongside 4 other companies, in the Small Business of the Year award category.

After ascending the iconic Guildhall steps and enjoying photo opportunities at the building’s grand entrance, Jo, Glenn, Louise & Flo gathered with some old and new faces to enjoy a drinks reception. Our warm welcome was followed by a delicious 3 course seated dinner in the dazzlingly decorated main hall. Our team shared a table with the directors from Destin4 Chartered Surveyors – our old friends, Chris Green, Ian Lee & Daryn Brewer, who were nominated as finalists for the Start Up Business of the Year award.

The official awards ceremony commenced after dinner, and was brilliantly hosted by TV presenter, Anjana Gadgil. Anjana announced the finalists and winners of the 17 categories, each winner coming on stage to be presented with their plaque of recognition. Sadly, it wasn’t to be our turn on the night to be crowned Small Business of the Year. This accolade was won by Solent Sky Services and in our opinion they were very worthy winners! In fact, their company also took first overall across all the awards, winning top spot as Overall Business of the Year as well! Congratulations to them.

We congratulate all the finalists at this year’s awards and would like to thank The News Business Excellence Awards team for hosting such a wonderful night to celebrate the achievements and successes of so many individuals and organisations from across our city and local area. We had a great time and hope to be invited to attend (and win!) next year.
